Join Sarah as you explore the body, learning what happens when we engage and use our muscles for our Yang yoga practices in comparison to what’s going on when we relax the muscles and let the body melt into poses in our Yin yoga practice. Developing a consistent practice with both Yin and Yang varieties of classes will help you find the healthiest and happiest body you’ve known.
Yang style yoga is more commonly known as vinyasa, hatha, or flow; any style using the muscles and strengthening the body. Yin is a specific style of yoga designed to bring length to the connective tissues and fascia, along with releasing tension in the body.
The series will be broken up into 2-week sections focusing on a target area of the body. Every other week we will alternate between a Yang practice and Yin practice.
